  • Gated Live Coordination: The accepted helper only receives precise directions when they actively start their journey.
  • No Phone Number Exposure: All coordination is protected within the verified DeKarma session.
  • Secure In-Person OTP/QR: You verify the task completion directly on your device.

Do I need Karma to ask for help?

When you join DeKarma, you receive starter Karma credits so you can ask for help immediately.

As you participate, you can replenish your Karma by helping others in your free time, creating a balanced community where everyone contributes and everyone is supported.

Zero-Karma / Volunteer Requests: Community members can also post and accept volunteer requests without Karma deductions for essential accessibility support.

Yes. When neighbours offer to help, you can review their verified profile, mutual tasks completed, and community score before accepting.

If a helper cancels or fails to arrive, your Karma held in task escrow is automatically released back to your balance, and your request can be reopened for other neighbours.
